Shot on extremely expired Kodak Vericolor in a snowstorm, this was one of the only images that even close to came out. But I like how the heavy grain adds to the frigid, dreamy feel of the scene.

Thank you! I know the hazy, grainy, heavily vignetted look isn't popular with some folks -- my darkroom instructor for one -- but somehow I think it really works for certain scenes. Many of your photos are great examples of interpretive, "imperfect" imagery that works beautifully, so thanks again for the inspiration.

Thank you very much! Others much more articulate than I have written about the value of the imperfect ... Emotional reality is important to me; perfection, not so much :-) And I would not enjoy making photographs if I were thinking that they had to be perfect.
