SATURDAY SELF-CHALLENGE
21 SEPTEMBER 2019
TAKE A PHOTO AND THEN POST PROCESS IT USING YOUR FAVOURITE PROGRAM. BE SURE TO SHOW THE ORIGINAL UNPROCESSED IMAGE

In 'Affinity Photo' I removed the colourful bollards, tried to correct some of the distortion (more work needed), made a small levels adjustment, increased the colour saturation by about 5%, made a slight crop and sharpened the image. Then, in Photoshop Elements I added a black pencil border and reduced the file size.

p.s. Perhaps the bollards added extra colour to the scene. But, I found them a bit distracting so they had to go !!! :-))

Balatre

Lorsqu'un élément attire l'oeil sur autre chose que ce qu'on voulait montrer, il faut le supprimer. C'est une bonne idée que d'avoir retirer les plots colorés.
Les modifications ayant été faites avec modération, le résultat final est tout à fait convaincant.

A great save. I think you've done everything I would have done and what you've done has really improved this image. I had to look up what "bollards" were. :)) I think they would have only been a distraction here so definitely a good choice on your part.

The only thing I miss is the music. ;-)

Glad you looked up "bollards".....hope you got a correct definition :-))) I had trouble trying to find a sensible musical link but as I said to Diederik I have some more images of this building in the pipeline and I think I have come across a couple of very tenuous musical links :-)) But, any suggestions would be very gratefully received, Karen :-))

Excellent work. Removing little distracting things like the bollards makes a big difference. I think your perspective correction is good as it is, too much of it can look artificial.
