"Keep Me In Your Heart"
A while ago I posted a 'Sight and Sound' link to “Mutineer” by Warren Zevon.
When commenting Nora said “yes a great artist so prematurely lost...” Nora gave me a link to “Keep Me In Your Heart”. I said I would work on linking this song to one of my photos and here it is.
A very long time ago I took this candid in Oxford. I reckon the lady was visiting the city and texting her boyfriend back home saying "Keep Me In Your Heart" :-)
“Keep Me In Your Heart” was written by Warren Zevon and Jorge Calderón. It is the final song on Warren's final album entitled “The Wind”. Warren began recording the album shortly after he was diagnosed with inoperable pleural mesothelioma (a cancer of the lining of the lung) and it was released just two weeks before his death on September 7, 2003.

I am also including a version by Jorge Calderón and Jennifer Warnes that features on the album "Enjoy Every Sandwich: The Songs Of Warren Zevon".

I've never heard this song, but he sure wrote some nice songs. This one is bittersweet. I really enjoyed both versions very much and it's nice that his co-writer also recorded it. A really loving tribute. :)
