Six years ago this month Helen treated me to a very special birthday celebration in Paris. Such happy memories of a wonderful time.

No words can ever make sense of the atrocity last Friday. Remembering those lost and those still suffering.

On YouTube there is a cover version of John Lennon's “Imagine”.

I remember taking one of those very compact tripods with me. For this shot I placed it on a wall next to the river. I also remember that a very strong wind was blowing and I had to hold on to the tripod and the camera to stop them toppling into the water!!

A Wonderful memory Roger.
I too have a very pleasant memory of Easter in Paris 1973 or thereabout, it was very cold and snowed continually none the less we enjoyed the long weekend very much.

Yes, Imagine was one of John's best, too bad it may never happen everywhere though it does in some places.

My feelings exactly. I've been to Paris a few times, but my trips were some years ago now, before I got into photography, although I took plenty of random tourist type shots. It's a beautiful place.
