CO - Paradox Vly

A roughly east-west valley in western Colorado. It's a "paradox" because the valley axis is at right angles to the Dolores River crossing the valley. In fact the valley is of tectonic origin, from the deformation and dissolution of salt beds at depth--the famous (in geologic circles, anyway) "salt anticlines."
