Beautiful locations (4-01-13 album), I'm guessing this is somewhere along the Snake in Idaho, but may be completely wrong.

Well, it _is_ the Columbia drainage. ;) This is Wanapum Reservoir on the Columbia in central Washington. The small settlement in the foreground is Vantage, WA. That's I-90 across the river (looking east). The coulee pix are across the river just north of here, in Frenchman Coulee, which is the site of the old (pre-reservoir) highway, and which has become a popular rock-climbing area. The resort pix are the Cave-B resort & winery, which is a bit north of Frenchman Coulee.

Ah, another reason to visit northern Washington state -- an area that has been on my 'to do' list for quite some time. Thanks for adding more stimulus for getting there.
