The Joyless Family

The Joyless Family
Hopefully, they were a little more animated and cheerful in real life.
This is a relative on my husband's side. The father is my husband's Grandmother's cousin. (Ada May (Grimshaw) illingworth)

They married in Springfield, VT 13 April 1904

Perhaps they're just affecting the impassive persona that Vermonters have reputedly used for decades to keep people from flocking in to enjoy their secret Eden. The wife is particularly convincing.

hahaha. That could be. Vermont was the first place that i saw the now famous bumpersticker, "Welcome to Vermont. Enjoy Your Stay. Then Go Home."
I agree that the wife is the winner in this misery contest.

Victorie -
That first link is not any good. It takes you there but it's closed to non-members.
So...OK - i do have two groups already, (Vintage Twins and VIntage Enormous Bows, but this one will probably also be manageable.
I'll call it Vintage Miserable Family and make it pre- 1980.
If you contact your friend on ipernity, though, and he wants to take it over, or re-name it, tell him to contact me and I'll sign it over. : )
OK, off to create it!
