Scotch Mist

Scotch Mist
My father, Kasfareet, Egypt WW2.
Written on the back:

NOW SMILE FOR THE MAN,THERE'S A GOOD BOY!

DID YOU MACLEAN YOUR TEETH TODAY?

WHAT'S THAT?

[drawing of grinning mouth with teeth]

SCOTCH MIST?

Kasfareet was roughly 40 or 50 miles from the Suez canal.
A nearby city was Ismalia (sp?)
Kasfareet itself was a village of about 40 mud huts but that is where the RAF base was located. It was on the shore of Great Bitter Lake which is what the English called it - my father did not remember what Egyptians called it.
My father just called with more information. He says that Kasfareet was east of Cairo and about 12 to 15 miles form the 19th General Hospital in Geneifa. Shalufffa was another town in the vicinity.
