Angela Peralta Castera's autograph at the back
Angela Peralta Castera (1845-1883); Mexican soprano.
Dedication –dated 16 September 1866- made and signed by Angela Peralta Castera. She was at Guadalajara on the ocasion of (the first*) inauguration of the Teatro Alarcón on 13 September 1866. That opening night she sang the title role in Donizetti's "Lucia de Lammermoor".
*At this point in time the theater had not been completed. Subsequently, there were many renovations and four more inaugurations and the name of the theater was changed into "Degollado".
