okay. honestly i thought this was a worm and while the group does indeed accept any nature image i couldn't figure out why you would bother to photograph a worm (except maybe the squigle shape drew you in). but now i get it! a freakin' snake! tiny and shiny to boot!!

i like how your hand's sworls compare with the snake's skin pattern.

Yup, it's an actual snake. A photo of a earthworm would be pretty crappy though wouldn't it?
I couldn't photograph it in it's normal habitat because they are usually underground or up in a tree eating termites and ants.
I don't know if looking like a worm has any advantages. It just seems like it would be in more danger if spotted by a bird or any other animal that eats worms.
