Iron Cavalry Helmet with Face Mask
This design of mask is called the 'Alexander' type as it is very similar to portraits of Alexander the Great. This one was discovered in the cavalry fort of Aalen, Germany.
150-250 AD.
At Arbeia Roman Fort, South Shields, part of the Hadrian's Cavalry exhibition.
