The shot that made it worth going.

I didn't expect to come back with any great masterpieces, and I didn't. But what I did get (there are several other pictures yet to be processed and uploaded) is more than I was expecting, and the weather, while not perfect, was very reasonable.

Venice, despite the world economic situation, was as heaving with tourists as ever, and a lot of shots can't be taken because many of the iconic buildings (including the Duomo) are undergoing restoration and are hidden by scaffolding and sheeting, and are likely to be for years yet.

My group (there were 6 plus the leader) were a slightly odd collection of characters but all were serious photographers and I had quite an enjoyable time.

My tripod (a cheap travel one) disintegrated when I first tried to use it, but it wasn't needed. This was taken with the camera resting on the parapet of a stone bridge.

You got TWO good ones, which was a lot more than I expected. Well done!
