To explore disused railways is fascinating; to discover them unexpectedly a delight. The first evidence of the former Midland & South Western Junction Railway in Swindon which I came across was a bridge across Evelyn Street. From that bridge, following the former trackbed towards Marlborough, the footpath today descends towards road level and I took one look back, towards Swindon Town as I reached the end of my walk.
