It seems only proper to reduce to black and white this image with, originally, a background of joyous summer green. We are all used, subliminally at least, to the extraordinary amount of surveillance undertaken today, so much, in fact, that it can no longer properly be called 'extraordinary'. Goodness only knows who, if anybody, processes the information produced. This cluster on Shirley Road in Southampton and opposite Cawte Road, seemed particularly sinister.

This is another for my fabulous friend Dolores who in addition to liking nice things is partial to a bit of social comment.

You're getting to know me so well, dear one...:-)
This is the sort of thing (I mean the cameras, and...why so many, for crying out loud!!!) that not only gives me the creepus maximus but, on a bad day, they diminish my will to carry on regardless. Fortunately (and that's the advantage of being perverse and unrepentant) I tend to recover quite quickly.
As for the extraordinary becoming ordinary. Ay! Ay! Ay! and Oy vey! Is like that "new normal" caper. Creepus maximus to the power of 50.
Doomed we be! Doomed! I've got a touch of the dooms!
(Op.cit. Kenneth Williams in some 'Round the Horne or other, if you please)
There, that's enough social comment for one day.
Stay groovy and happy and sane, my lovely.
