Zoo Miami (7) - 6 March 2018
Iguana
My biggest thrill at Zoo Miami was seeing, unexpectedly, some iguanas which, as far as I could tell, were feral, not exhibits. They were simply in the planted vegetation. As I have written, I love the smaller lizards but to see something like this close up is wonderful.

I love all lizards, regardless of size, including crocs and alligators.
A friend of mine was once semi-forced to adopt an iguana. I saw it grow up from a tiny wee thing with a penchant for nibnling at one's hair to a metre-long monster. It was called Iggy. After Iggy Pop, naturally.
