Nice Gare du Sud - 22 April 2017
If I thought that the train shed of Nice Gare du Sud was uplifting then I was positively emotional about the station building itself.
I had plenty of time to look at it on a well-paced Saturday lunchtime. Unfortunately, its location and size do not lend themselves to great photographs and potential views were blocked by the busy market in Place du Général de Gaulle. This rather oblique view is one of the least obstructed and captures something of the architectural magnificence now being preserved as part of the Gare du Sud development.
