Oxford School For Blacks
Photo was originally identified as Negro School Teacher and Students [Photo: Smith Library of Regional History] Butler County Historical Society. The colored school of Oxford was originally located on High Street. It was later moved to a larger two-room, one story brick building at 210 North Beech Street. The pupils ranged in age from five to twenty-five, including former slaves.
