Birken bewirken Verbirken

Schöner Blick in die Natur. Könnte glatt ein Waldgemälde sein.

Ich hab zuerst wandgemälde gelesen, aber das würde auch passen. Vielleicht sollte ich ein poster draus machen und es mir an die wand hängen. Dann bin ich immer im wald ;-)

Ich hatte 1974 eine komplette Wohnzimmerwand mit einer Fototapete "Birkenwald" tapeziert.
Die sah 95-prozentig so aus, wie dein Foto.
Damals war das modern.

Die ist heute wieder modern ;-) Und wenn nicht, wäre es mir auch egal, denn gefallen würde sie mir. Nur zum tapezieren habe ich keine lust ;-))

In Northern Germany you can find more of them compared to Southern Germany. Here, palm trees are becoming more popular ;-) I do like birch forests a lot! And my friend took the surprise PiP :-)

I love birch forests, Carol. There aren't too many where I live, more of them can be found in Northern Germany. My shopping expeditions are mainly online (except for food) or when I happen to come across something, in which case it probably can't be called an expedition ;-) And I did. A backpack and a pair of hiking shoes, more or less coincidentally. The hiking was planned though :-))

What a lovely soothing picture Edna. I was trying to think of a birch wood in south Somerset, and I can't think of one! I found one in west Somerset, and guess what! It's called Birch Wood! I love the streaks on the trunk, and do I spy an Edna in the lovely PiP!? :-))

Oh yes, that's most likeley why I love birch forests because I find them soothing as well. In Southern Germany you don't come across them as often, more so in Northern Germany.
Oh! Birch Wood...I wouldn't have guessed ;-)) This one here is called "Altwarmbüchener Moor" and the name is far from Birch Wood or Birch Forest ;-)

Würde ich gern. Ich hab nämlich ein gerahmtes bild daheim, birkenwald im schnee. Keine ahnung, ob das auch dort in der gegend entstanden ist. Wenn ich im winter bei schnee nochmal dort bin, dann kann ich es dir sagen ;-))

A lovely forest scene (and PiP with photographer), Edna. I was interested in your comment about this being fashionable in wallpaper, because only recently I visited a room where that had indeed been installed.

Fashion seems to be repeating itself, sometimes it takes 20, 30, 40 years or more...but it will eventually return. And frankly, I don't care about fashion, and if I'd like such a wallpaper, then I'd get it (if possible) :-)

Aha, du bist allergisch gegen birkenpollen? Da kenne ich so einige leute, die das auch sind. Bei mir habe ich das bisher noch nicht festgestellt, aber im frühjahr bin ich immer so bissle allergisch...keine ahnung wogegen. Vielleicht gegen einige politiker ;-))

Ich finde birken toll, die birken, die wirken auf mich :-) Also angenehm und und sympathisch.

Das macht der helle Stamm, das wirkt freundlich. Dazu stehen sie auch weiter auseinander als die düsteren Fichten in diesen Monokulturen und es wächst noch anderes drunter:-)
