A 17 h, le ballet des bateaux qui se relaient à quai pour décharger leur pêche les uns après les autres s’accélère. Les couleurs vives des coques, des tenues jaunes des marins, le cri des mouettes, l’agitation des curieux et des professionnels autour des caisses bleues et jaunes qui se remplissent de langoustines et de poissons brillants…
Le fruit de la pêche du jour est principalement débarqué à la criée ou il est trié, pesé et vendu aux enchères aux professionnels.
Mais il est possible d’acheter quelques poignées de langoustines frétillantes, en direct, par-dessus la barrière qui sécurise le quai latéral

WOO HOO!! WHAT A SHOW!!! How fantastic that you were able to take us along and show us what happens after the fishermen pull up to the pier and offload their precious cargo. Wonderful photography which has me holding my nose because of the strong smell of fish! :D (Being born and raised in San Francisco, I know all about stinky fish and crab from the (touristy) Fisherman's Wharf but also Chinatown where the smelly fish is truly authentic!

Thanks so much for the presentation! There is nothing like fresh fish. These folks sure do work hard to make a living. You did a super job taking us along for the show. :)
