In de bloemen zit het zeer giftige Pyrrolzidine 2 keer zoveel als in de bladeren--de bladeren zijn eerst niet giftig maar als ze gegeten worden zet de dunne darm het gif om in pyrrolzidine

Bonita fotografía con su contraste de colores; el amarillo va muy bien con el fondo verde.
Fred, los perros son los primeros animales que se asociaron con el humano, sea por esto o su genética, el caso es que no comen ni setas, ni flores. Aparte de la hierba con la que se purgan, del campo los míos solo comen moras cuando se las ofrezco; confían en mí.

Bedankt voor de informatie Fred, van deze bloemen. Ik heb er een paar in mijn tuin en om eerlijk te zijn had ik niet gemerkt dat er geen insecten op zaten. Ik ben gewoon blij dat mijn kat nooit in de buurt van hen is geweest.

Beautiful but very toxic flowers............they look really good on the out-of-focus background Fred.

As Pam says, they're dangerous to horses..........but Cinnabar moth caterpillars love them!

Here in the UK they're known as Ragwort!
