Deze huizen waren eigendom van de steenkolenmijn en werden alleen verhuurd aan mijnwerkers .De laatste steenkolenmijn werd hier in 1974 gesloten en toen konden de mijnwerkers de woning voor een prikje kopen en in de loop der jaren hebben ze zelf de woning opgeknapt.
