Hi Frans Schols thank you for letting me know about this My Dad and my best friend worked at this Colliery a like YS from me.Unfortunatly all the Collier`s have gone but the Bands play on.Best wishes Alan.

Hello Frans what a great surprise to see the Frickley Colliery band here in your area ... my family ( and Alan's my cousin ) lived in South Elmsall and i lived there from birth to 7 years old when we moved to Lincolnshire ... we still of course have family living in South Elmsall :))

Hallo Steve,leuk te horen van jou en jouw familie in South Elmsall. Ik heb op internet veel gelezen over de mijnsluitingen in jouw stad.Rond 1970 waren er in Zuid-Limburg alle mijnen gesloten,en er waren veel werkelozen! Groeten aan South Elmsall en de beste wensen voor Jou!
