Hi Nick,

An impressive capture, and probably a rare sight in your area. I must say that I went back to look at my pictures of it from that time. Yes, it sure was blue, and the valances over the driving wheels were also fitted. I guess they have since removed them for ease of maintenance.

Hi Peter ~ You appraisal is particularly appreciated ~ thank you ~ She was just gently creeping along nosing out of Alresford station heading towards Alton. It is nice to be able to see the big wheels so clearly, although the streamlining is somewhat compromised as a result ~ All the best ~ Nick

Very interesting design with a modern aerodynamic shape. No steam locomotives with such design have been in Bulgaria . My father has driven steam locomotives . Greetings
