Ah - the booming of a bittern.
I can remember as if it was yesterday, the smell of the smoke, the particles of soot and the screech of the whistle when a train left St.Andrews station going to exotic faraway places like Dundee and Edinburgh. ;-)

Those were the days dear friend, I thought that they would never end ~~~~ but eventually I got on a train and left it all behind ~ I used to love the spinning of the driving wheels as they fought for grip and the clanking of the connection rods, the snorting of the chimney and then the majestic gliding away and the red lamp on the rear coach dwindling ~ Happy days x

Nick I think its great that this part of your heritage is kept alive cant say much for out diesel electric no soul at all. great fence to go with the shot. HFF from the west.
