Yes, you got it in one Andy. This field is actually adjacent to to the M25 near where West Hyde Lane crosses the M25 on a bridge. All the best ~ Nick

A pity in my zone there are no such fields I always loved, we are in the middle of the mountains.

I love the mountains of Europe and have spent many holidays touring through them and enjoying the sights including the upland meadows. I'm glad to live where I am though and love rolling corn fields :~)

Me too in Cornwall, John. Only for a couple of days and in the blazing sunshine - It was mid august so I'm not sure what the crop was. I thought barley but maybe that would have been gathered in a month before. Anyway, I remember it as absolutely back breaking work but the local kids treated it as a bit of a holiday! Good fun was had by all!

The farmers here had cut their fields by Wednesday, so let's hope they have all baled it up and stored it by now. The moist morning has now turned to a full-on rainy one. The garden is soaking it up. :;-))))

We could use some rain especially to fatten up the grain seeds. We still have lots of fields to harvest xxx
