All credit to these guys! They have come from Germany with this old lorry just to watch the Veteran Car Run.

Thank you Nick,

But something tells me they didn't drive it all the way here!!
I also notice that it is right hand drive. I do wonder how they came by it.

Certainly looks like they had heard about the British average temperature Peter ... but not the minimum tyre tread depth :))

Thank you Steve,

I had also wondered about the tread depth, maybe solid tyres are exempt?
A few other vehicles with solid tyres had no tread either...
This is a Pierce-Arrow from WW1 era, and as such is too new to take part in the run, but loads of people with collectable vehicles came along to drive the route, just for fun.

Thank you Rosa,

It is unusual, but as I said to Steve, it is a Pierce-Arrow.
Since it is from WW!,maybe it got abandoned in Germany somewhere, and the forefathers of these guys rescued it. I am only guessing!

What's the top speed, Peter, and did they set out in May?
A fine shot and series!

Thank you Andy,

Glad you like it!
I don't know the exact specs, but looking at the solid tyres, and similar vehicles, I would say they would be lucky to get more than 30mph out of it. I also suspect it came over here on the back of a bigger lorry!
