Great capture of this statue Sarah, great perspective. Do you know anything of the history of Sergeant Jasper? He must have done something special to be worthy of a statue.

Hello Steve, Doug and Nick.... Im so sorry, I just do not, and never have, gone to Wikipedia with my postings. I don't copy and paste at all., so I guess I must stop posting items that need more information for you great friends, I did in this instance, get as good a shot as I could of the plaque on the Memorial. This was in one of the many beautiful Squares in the lovely city of Savannah, Georgia. A town FULL of wonderful Historic Homes, squares and parks, River Street and on and on. It has become a world tourist attraction in recent years. thank you my dear friends~~
