Heather and Gorse. Overlooking Porthcadjack Cove, Cornwall.
Yes, I have posted one or two similar scenes from this vantage point but I make no excuses for posting one more!
Godrevy

Godrevy, Cornwall. South West Peninsula Coast Path. St Ives in the far distance.
On black and full screen for best, please.
Greenbank Cove

|
|
|
Greenbank Cove, Northcliffs, Cornwall. A very quiet beach, accessible only to those in the know!

Cornish coast near Penberth Cove.
Black and on full screen please. You can then just about make out the Lizard Peninsula in the very far distance (the southernmost point in the United Kingdom). This shot is taken approx 5 miles from Land's End, (the most westerly point of England) These geographical niceties matter!
Gurnard's Head, Treen, Zennor, Cornwall

Named after the fish which it does vaguely resemble from afar.
There is still-visible evidence of a neolithic village on the grassy slopes near the neck of the isthmus.
Splash!
Godrevy Island and Lighthouse
|
|
|
|
Godrevy was the lighthouse in Virginia Woolfe's novel; 'To The Lighthouse'. Although she set it in Scotland, she could see Godrevy every day from her house, Talland, near St Ives.
Atlantic on granite.

Samphire Island (or possibly Asparagus Island), Porthcadjack, Cornwall.
I have never known which of the two islands is which. I asked a wizened old sea dog in a Portreath Pub once and he said in an almost impenetrable Cornish accent; 'Who the f... cares'
I still don't know!
In the very far distance, Godrevy Island and lighthouse.

Treaga Hill, Portreath, Cornwall.
Only now noticed that this could equally have been my HFF shot! So I thought; OK why not! Two HFF best wishes to my ipernity friends this week!
Foxgloves, brambles and roses
H. A. N. W. E. everyone!
Carn Galva.

|
|
Raised coastal platform from the summit of Carn Galva (Carn Galver on OS maps and Google).
The Cornish coast and Rosemergy Farm, Morvah Parish. As I have mentioned a couple of times before, those distant stone walls are thought to be some of the oldest continuously used stone structures (still used for their original purpose) anywhere in the world. (Possibly 7-8,000 years old).

I could only get this shot of the main feature at Porthcadjack (its sea cave) because of the very low tide! Maybe a twice a year event.
By the way, the path down to the cove is seen directly opposite. It is easy but you wouldn't guess it from this vantage point!

Looking along the West Penwith coast eastward from Logan Rock, past Penberth Cove, Lamorna Cove and on eventually to Mousehole. 3 hours, or 4 if you stop to take photos!
Steep path down to Tubby's Head

This path is steeper than it looks here. Fun going down but care needed. And a slog coming back!

Treaga Hill, Ralph's Cupboard, Portreath, Cornwall and Shetland (I think) Ponies!
