Joyau de l’art roman
La Chapelle St Michel d’Aiguilhe en Auvergne est un édifice religieux étonnant. Bâti au sommet d’une ancienne cheminée volcanique de 82 mètres, ce bijou d’art roman a auparavant vu la construction, à même la roche, de 268 marches pour accéder au sommet. L’évèque Gotescalc, premier pèlerin français de St Jacques de Compostelle est à l’origine de sa fondation en 962.
