This is not as crazy at it seems...
About 40 years ago I was returning from a night out at a restaurant with my husband. It was a dark country lane..

Suddenly out of nowhere a herd of deer ran across the road right in front of us. We screeched to a halt, and both looked at each other in amazement.....the deer had completely vanished !!!!!!
I will never forget that experience.
