Das Kaufmannsgebäude wurde 1480 als Holzhaus gebaut, nach einem Großfeuer 1702 um 1712 neu erbaut und 1912 nach Abriss als Steingebäude neu errichtet. Die Buchstaben EEKS bedeuten: Ein ehrsamer Kaufmann, das S steht für die Mehrzahl= Kaufleute.
