I had never heard of a Hilux. This model has a rather convoluted history, according to Wikipedia. They are no longer exported to North America. The Hilux became the Tacoma for that market. No wonder. Hilux is a goofy name.
After tragic events in the news from Orlando yesterday, I went out for a drive to clear my head. I found myself at the Burlington Northern railroad yard, where I couldn't wander around, but took some shots from the road.

On the door: "Walt Staub...Distributor...Standard Oil Products" The company is still in business, as "Ed Staub & Sons" and has many branches in Oregon, N. California and Idaho. One is seen in the background near Merrill, Oregon.

An interesting design. I suppose that sticking a work-truck front onto a car back - and the name of the model - was meant to appeal to suburban dads rather than loggers and farmers. Anyway, it's cool!
