My Dad surprised me once. I think we were talking about Uri Geller. Anyway, I mentioned the tines of a fork and it became apparent that my Dad had never come across the word 'tine' before!
Strange!
But then a little later, My Mum made it clear that she had never heard of Dracula!
These are well read and intelligent people but it just goes to show that we can all miss what is blindingly obvious to many people.
