First night home

First night home
Today, I learned more details about her past: she was a working dog on a ranch. After her accident (fell off a hay trailer) her owner decided that he had no use for a three-legged dog. Disgusting. Now, she will get to live with people who love her. ;-)

Hard core ranch people around here. ;-(

It still exists and same applies to hunting dogs. Another of theirs is a yellow lab named Duck (also pictured here) who is terrified of gunshots and other loud bangs. Result: 1st owner had no use for him. They rescued him about 10 years ago and he's 13 now.

My grandfather was like that - cattle rancher. Pets were a ridiculous waste of time.
