There is a very similar type in Yemen and among the Rashaida (oldest of the Bedouins) of Eritrea, Egypt and Morocco.

Either my replies occasionally disappear, or I am clicking Cancel instead of Reply. Those things are very uncomfortable - they squash the nose! So, no modeling! My father brought it to me from Bandar Abbas, Iran in the 1970s. He was working there for 8 months.

That comes from trying to type in a burka, I suspect.
