El Cos des Sindic es un estanque temporal que conforma un habitat muy singular que la UE ha declarado de conservación prioritaria. La peculiaridad de este lugar es que se alimenta tanto de agua de las lluvias como del agua del mar que llega en episodios de fuerte temporal. Tiene una función ecológica muy importante, siendo zona de descanso, alimentación y cria de numerosas especies de aves y contiene una gran riqueza biológica.
