This landscape is totally different form the mountains of Fjord Norway, it looks like prosperous farming country.

It is some of the better farming land in Norway. It was also here that the first farmers in Norway started to cultivate the land. This happened some 4400 years ago when a few small boats arrived from Denmark with bags of seeds, some livestock, tools for land clearing and cultivating, and a new culture. They stepped ashore here in Jæren and started clearing the forest. After that the new culture spread rapidly to most of todays modern Norway.
