Yes, we can. However, they glacier is "younger" than most people think. When the last ice age ended all the ice in Scandinavia melted away, and there may have been trees at this location. 5000 years ago it got colder and glacier reappeared. The size have varied over the years but was at it's greatest in the 1750's. This photo is taken from the top of a end moraine created by this glacier in the 1750's (looking towards todays glacier location): www.ipernity.com/doc/1136587/43074088/in/album/922828 Click on lotaction and select satellite view to see the moraine in relation to todays glacier.
