The Children of Lir Loop walk: Kidd Island

The Children of Lir Loop walk: Kidd Island
As we continue up this rugged coast we see one of a few characteristic Islands just offshore. This is Kidd Island covering just 32 acres. I believe flocks of sheep graze on here in summer but we never saw any and the mind boggles to how they would get on there with those sheer rocky cliffs.

Oops, I must correct myself: the white spots on the the left of the Island are indeed sheep (as seen on my sharper full size original).

NB there is a another smaller nameless rock in front of Kidd Island here.

Enjoy full screen.

Looks good and looks Cornish, even if there aren't any islets of comparable size!

I'm looking forward to you telling us more about the unusual names of the Island and coastline Herb. The sea is a lovely colour and you have captured the Islands very well....and the sheep :-)

Have a good weekend & keep cool!

A cracking shot Herb..................it took me a while to find the sheep and I'm also at a loss to figure out how they get them on and off. It has to be by boat, but where would they land them, I can't find any photos that show any sort of landing place.

Hi Keith. There must be some gentler slope and landing spot at the back of here. Glad you found the sheep and enjoyed the capture.

Well blow me down - so there is Maggs. My sheep spotting skills must be waning as I get older. Thanks for the update.
