The park is beautiful, but I think you have to wait still some days, Herb. I should too make a tour to see how it is, from home I only see the mountain, it's a bit coloured, but still not enough.

Dany, you are right, inasmuch it is likely to get better before it is finished. Unfortunately, days of such light as today are quite rare here and so I might never see it better this year. Some other scenes from this mornings park tour has better golden leaves so you may see some of them too. I would think that your mountains would have great Autumn light too -maybe you will get there some day.

Thanks so much Rosa. As said above, this park can be marvelous at times and this morning was one of them. The 'building' is a simple open pavilion, normally named 'The Lions Den' by us oldies who know the park, as it has two big life-size lion sculptures, that kids can sit on, at each side. It was refurbished a few years back and looks smashing in this light. I think it will look even better if I can catch it in a week or so again.

Oooh, that's looking rather autumnal Herb...........the light is gorgeous with lovely long shadows and I really like the golden brown leaves lying on the grass in the foreground.

The white building is perfectly positioned in the frame and looks beautiful amongst the trees.

Ah yes Keith, my first 'real' Autumn shot of the year. I could see that it might be nice from my home around 08.30 and so was around here just gone 9am. All the ingredients came together for this shot and so I appreciate you enjoying this. The white building is a simple open 'shelter' but it is fairly big and looks great in its new paint in this weather.

What a beautiful park. The branch of the big tree in the foreground frames the white pavilion. I like the long shadows on the lawn.

An old established park now and in many ways more beautiful than it has ever been. In Autumn it has a life of its own. You know that I love this kind of light.
