The Leather Bottle

I'm surprised that leather workers didn't take their trade to the 'new country' hence the old saying that someone who was very poor couldn't afford a pot to piss in. With the renewed interest in film that is a sort after camera I have a OM1n I need to have it serviced because I don't know if it has foam around the prism it's alright at the moment but if hasn't been removed it will ruin the prism

The leather trade is a trade we will see less and less of the age of Europe and its industries is far longer that what we have had here in Australia. That has long since been lost to the chinese so now nothing left but my own skills and knowledge. I had OM1 as well before I got the OM2 which I still have I have been tempted to run a few films through it but still will never match a modern full frame camera. I would try the camera if needed then think on a service my bag still has all the older gear which you have met before.

You should give it a try the light seals will probably need replacing, it's the experience of using film again you are more involved it's not about pixel peeping. It's not just older photographers going back to their youth young people are trying it for the first time

Its interesting I run my Nikon Cameras Much like is did film, I run the camera not nikon there are very few shot I dont change setting to how I want it. I know my father 2 1/4 square Mamiya was taken over by my niece's husband he is producing great shots. I will find the time to run a film through the OM2 and see just what I get. Its getting film these days but be worth the chance I stll have some in the fridge but sure since the 70s they will be dead.
