Ore Mountain wood carving

Ore Mountain wood carving
This was a present from my German cousin: Christmas tradition in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains, where my cousin and his family live) in the southeastern region of Germany. This is a wooden carving representing a miner in traditional costume. Small cones of incense are lit and placed in the hollow body of the figurine. The opening in the mouth expels the fragrant sent.

Doerthe club has replied to Ronald Losure club
The miners were organized and this was their traditional 'Sunday' uniform when they performed at local festivities. Each mine has their own choir and their own specific uniform. The concert was very nice. Such an unusual location for singers and a band to perform, but the acoustics were good.
