Where did the beach go?

Where did the beach go?
Lake Huron, Port Sanilac, Michigan.

Two years ago my friend and I walked here to the point. I was told that a very heavy storm two weeks ago pushed the lake water up to this level. There is great damage to the entire shore along the lake.

Das sieht schon sehr nach Naturgewalt aus Doerthe...schade darum aber vielleicht senkt sich der Spiegel ja wieder.

Doch, der wird sich wieder senken, kann aber Jahre dauern. Es wird hier gesagt der Wechsel laeuft ueber eine Zeit von zehn Jahren. Vor vielen Jahren war es genau umgekehrt, eine halbe Meile weit war der Boden zu sehen.
