Schulpforta

Die Landesschule Pforta ist ein Internatsgymnasium zur Förderung Begabter. Sie besteht seit 1543 und ist eine der ältesten Bildungseinrichtungen in Mitteldeutschland. Die Schule nutzt seit ihrer Gründung Gelände und Gebäude der einstigen Zisterzienserabtei Pforta in Schulpforte, einem Ortsteil von Naumburg im Burgenlandkreis in Sachsen-Anhalt.

Die Schule ist eine der drei Fürstenschulen, die im Jahr 1543 bzw. 1550 von Herzog Moritz von Sachsen nach der Umwandlung von Klöstern gegründet wurden. Diese Schulen sind die ältesten staatlichen Schulen in Deutschland.
