State of Play is a drama/political thriller, I guess you would say. It stars Russel Crowe, Rachel McAdams, and Ben Affleck, with a good supporting cast.
Crowe and McAdams play reports that start on 2 different stories that end up converging to a much bigger story with Affleck's congressman character caught in the middle.
It was alright. It was a good Friday night movie to sit back and watch with a snack. Interesting enough to keep you watching, although some momentum was lost by the end and I found the twists and turns came at no surprise.
It was good enough to recommend to watch when nothing else is really on, if you're into the murder conspiracy movies. But I wouldn't suggest breaking any plans to see it.
