One probelm with KAP is that I'm taking photos much further away from my subject than most photographers work. The kind of distances involved are more usual in landscape and air survey photography . Using a kite means I can't have the benfit of long exposure or long focal length to achieve good resolution. The KAP camera is a compromise between weight and resolving power that throws up some odd choices.
Kite Aerial Photography is a method of low elevation aerial capture that has been practised since the 1880s. The procedure of hitching a camera to a kite line is simple and the results often striking: the world as seen from above can be enjoyed by anyone with a little patience and a love of kite flying.
