Unintended Consequence - Paraguay 1979

16 Jun 2025 31
While with a group of scientists studying mammals in the forests of north east Paraguay, we inadvertently caught this poor tarantula spider in one of our rodent traps. The image was made on Kodak Tri-X B&W film using a Leica M3 camera with a dual range 50mm f2.0 Summicron lens. I recently colorized the scanned image using Photoshop's Colorize Neural Filter. As always there was some hand touch up work done afterwards to render a more realistic look.

Where the Angels Live

27 Apr 2020 106
Where the Angels live, is a much brighter place, then where we live now. A darkness lurks on the edge of our lives, We need to tread more carefully. Made on World Pinhole Camera Day 4/26/20

The Holy Sanitizer

27 Apr 2020 1 1 118
When I was thinking of the virus, I imagined it was lurking, In the tiny places we cannot see, On a door handle, a faucet or a letter from a friend, I wonder if those thoughts will ever end? Made on World Pinhole Camera Day 4/26/20

Pandemic Life

27 Apr 2020 2 101
Pandemic life is like a thick grove of tall white pines, The sun's light still shines bright and warm though the stand, it is beautiful, but the shadows are darker, It is there that the invisible predator haunts our days. Made on World Pinhole Camera Day 4/26/20
