Great white egret shot through the undergrowth, still quite a rare visitor to this part of England and larger than the much more common Grey heron. Apparently the red ring on its leg means it may have originated in Hungary, but I need to get it confirmed

Very rare sight- a white Moorhen. They have been seen before, but very occasionally, also they rarely survive for long as literally every predator can see them from any distance. Apparently there were 2 in the same pond last week but one has already gone.....
