A beautifully restored welbike. These bikes were designed to be dropped by parachute. The design was created by Station IX based at the Frythe, Welwyn, during WWII. Seen at the Military and Flying Machines show in Essex, 4-8-2012. Pentax K20D, SMC Pentax-DA* 50-135mm f/2.8.

This one has a somewhat non-standard turret but the basic machine is a Soviet BMP 1. I'm not certain this one would meet the emissions test! There is an article about these machines in the September 2012 issue of Classic Military Vehicle magazine. Seen at the Military and Flying Machines show in Essex. I think this is an Achilles, which is a British conversion of the American M10 Wolverine Tank Destroyer. It was fitted with a 17pdr Mark 5 gun instead of the US 76mm gun. Military and Flying Machines event, Essex, 4-8-2012. Pentax K20D, SMC Pentax-DA* 50-135mm lens.
