Another of the angels from the ceiling of Necton church, Norfolk, photographed a couple of years back when on holiday near there.

Ware tombstone (4)

A tombstone from the graveyard of St Mary the Virgin, Ware. This is an unusual stone for Hertfordshire with 3D skulls rather than just a relief carving. This style is more common outside the county. Sadly the inscription was too worn for me to read.

White Roding porch

The porch of St Martin's, White Roding, Essex. The doorway might be Saxon, and the door itself is clearly very old.
Pentax K-3iii, SMC Pentax-DA 12-24mm f/4 lens. Five exposures blended in Photomatix Pro.
Wilko skulls

Bit desperate for a "Skull Saturday" post. Saw these in Wilko during their closing down sale.

Humberstone (2)

Tombstone to Thomas Humberstone in the churchyard of St Mary's, Knebworth. He died in 1704 aged 86, just four years before another Thomas Humberstone who died in 1708, aged 38. Perhaps Thomas was Thomas' father or grandfather?
